At Jane’s Montessori Academy, we offer an outdoor-based summer
science & nature day camp for children ages 18 months to 6 years
old. Each week will have a different theme that will allow students to
learn more about the outdoor world. True to the Montessori
philosophy, students will be able to explore what interests them. Dr.
Montessori’s research showed that a love of the natural world is
important to instill within children, because all learning originally
comes from the outdoor world. Students will have the opportunity to
move through different stations, choosing among their own interests,
and finding new interests. Daily activities will include arts & crafts,
science experiments, books & summer reading, games & team sports.
Half day and full day sessions are available. Please contact us for
more information. The day camp will take place June 22-July 31,
2009.
